Hi

I'm in process of completing a loft conversion and need some advice on the location of a boss adapter for the shower waste. Can a boss adapter be fixed to a 4" soil pipe at 45 degrees as shown in the pictures? My main concern is that the entry to the soil pipe is on the side and with the pan being higher than the shower waste dirty water from the toilet could go back up the shower waste? I've noticed that the boss adapter says 'top', maybe this is meant to point up and wouldn't work as affectively at 45 degrees. Also, is all grey 4" soil pipe solvent weld? if so I'll replace the orange pipe with grey and glue the boss adapter.

Thanks in advance.

Gavin

Thanks for the reply and advice. I meant to say in my first post - Can I solvent weld the boss adapter to the grey soil pipe, how do I know if it's solvent weld capable?
