Hi all,

Please can someone advise me what a BOSS venturi commissioning valve actually does?

I've a job this week, in a public building, where one was installed (under a kitchen sink with a POU water heater).

Restricts the flow.
When used at various locations around a system they're used to balance the flow.
The designer will have specified the flow at each outlet.

All well and good untill someone comes along and uses it to isolate a section and doesn't note the setting before hand.

thanks @snowhead what I can't understand is it was installed on a point-of-use water heater (no secondary circs).

Is it superfluous in this situ?

Slow the water out so it has a chance To get hot
