Hi im trying to fit a new sink into my bathroom. I have to go from brass to plastic piping but the connector i have has no lip on it so i cant tighten the joint so it leaks badly. I have old size pipes and have been told they no longer stock parts for that size. Can anybody suggest what i can do to rectify this leak?
Sorry if this didnt make sense, im not great with plumbing terminology.

Thanks Graham

A macalpine compression coupling should do the trick. It depends on the pipe sizes

what size is the old pipe measure ?
polypipe do a fitting that fits old imperial copper etc waste pipe.

ha ha unfortunately dont live in a palace. far from it

The brass pipe is 1 1/2 inch

im not sure. i was told they dont make them in that size anymore?

what a 40mm waste coupler.
