I'm fitting a wetroom for an elderley person. Two of the walls are of breeze block construction and tile. Single skin. Besides the usual sanitaryware to fasten, there are also disability grab handles and a wall mounted seat to fit in the shower area. Does anybody have some advice on the best method for securing these items? Potentially everything could be used as a support. The basin and ped, the towel rad (hope its cold!)
I don't trust the breeze block

You could use throughbolt anchors or even large heavy plastic plugs with coach screws. Rawlbolts are probably a bit excessive for a domestic situation.

If the breezeblocks are dubious, you could use chemical anchor bolts (eg Hilti Resin).

If you use chemical anchor bolts make sure the holes are very clean!

put in extra noggins if your fitting out from scratch and making a wet room, by far the most secure substrate to hang grab handles on, dont want granny sueing you when she falls over.
