big grips if i remember right, unscrew the bar Allen key under it

the one i had today was full of lime scale in and out never seen so much scale on a mixer

yes off course ,but then I took the plastic colar out and then is the nut but there is 0.5mm to the wall of the body

so no room for grips or spanner as it is lower in the body so you can sort of grab hold of the nut

i try long players and sort of spin it round with screw driver but no luck ,had like 2mm off lime scale every where ...MADNESS

was p***t of that i can get to it ! as I did not want to force it and then damage it and have to replace it and loose £ on the job rather then earn some

go back to the job tell the custard many different types etc bristan need a picture to identify, take a photo ,post it up here we will try to put our heads together and work out how it comes apart

Would a box spanner or long reach socket get on it? what size nut is it stan?

i had one of these and had same problem - a box spanner is rthe answer but this one was so scaled up that the brass started to round off even after soaking in vinegar erc - told the custard that i could continue but might damage tap. they opted for a new tap!!!!

goes back to the point of whoever designs these things doesnot have a clue!!!
