where can i get spares for bristan shower mixer tap as when another plumber fitted it put a hair line crack in it

It doesn't need ptfe tape, there should be a fibre or rubber washer in there. If the nut has split ( due to dodgy plumber using ptfe) there is no part to fix!
best option is to replace the shower valve with a new one. Any threaded one will fit.

Must of used the 24's to tighten the nut up!?

prob cos was installed ****ed so used ptfe to attempt to get it to seal with crooked inlets and horsed it up
