Hi all,

My Bristan Twist Shower Mixer has become increasingly difficult to shift from tap to shower using the lever. You used to be able to coax it by rocking the lever back and forth, but then that too stopped working.
I unscrewed the the mixer valve and noticed that one of the seals on the barrel is split. My question is, how do you remove the barrel to replace the seal? I have looked at the exploded parts diagram on the Bristan website and it looks like the rear section of the tap assembly (the take off for the shower head) comes off. I removed the small grub screw under the body and got the rear section to turn, but it doesn't seem like it unscrews.
Has anyone any experience of these taps?

Thanks in advance,

Colin
