useless drip

I'm perplexed by the recent behaviour of my UP2 programmer. It has been installed and working fine for a few years but since re-starting the central heating cycle this autumn, it has been acting strangely....

Essentially, the hot water will only start up at the point when the central heating switches off and vice versa. This requires some interesting programming....

If for instance I want the central heating to come on at, say, 7am I programme it to switch on at 6:50 but I also have to programme the hot water to come on at that time and to go off again at 7. The heating will then come on at 7 when the hot water goes off.

Similarly, if I want the hot water to come on, I have to programme the water on and then the heating to switch off, which triggers the hot water to switch on.

There seems to be no way the heating and hot water can come on together, even though they are nominally 'on' with the green lights showing.

The 2-way valve seems to be operating normally and I have 're-booted' the programmer. Logically, it seems the programmer is faulty.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi - I can see this message is almost a year old - did you ever work out the issue? Its possible I am experiencing something similar with mine.
