Hi everyone I am going to a British gas exam on Wednesday next week. It is for there service contract. So far I have been told it a 40 question multiple choose exam. Does anyone know what the exam covers? Is there any practical assessments?

thanks

Is that serious or sarcastic? I just want to know what I'm goin into. Thanks

im only joking of course. No offence ment to any BG guys.

Villa Tom and a few others have done the tests and will be able to give you a detailed answer.

The usual suspects of flueing, ventilation and unsafe situations.
The classifications of NCS, AR and ID are less clear.

No competent GSR should have any great difficulty with it.

Its just safety questions. Easy really. Just read your viper books and your unsafe sits book. It's not hard. A few questions on breakdowns that's a bit more difficult, well is was for me but I don't do them very often. But i still passed.

Dont lie. You have no mates :)
ok then;
someone i know did his today, it told him tom said they were all questions about health and safety, so he swotted up on it
and questions were about ventilation, flues etc. pmsl. think he's in tho

They can't make it too difficult 'cause they want as many gullible's in as they can get, I was with with them for a year, don't know how I managed to last that long, could get out fast enough, they just want to make money and give you as little as possible doing as much as possible each day.

So how did you get on?
If you mean me then I was working an extra 1-1 1/2 hrs /day to get thro' the jobs they gave me because i wanted them done properly. I went to one women serviced her boiler and from the cover she had her rads were covered to so I said are the rads all working ok? she there was one upstairs that hasn't worked properly for a couple of years, I checked it and released a sticky trv, told her it was alright now and she said I was the first engineer to give her time to mention the rad let alone fix it. She said she was going to ask for me in future, when you have had 1/2 a dozen customers say the same thing, ( ask for me in future) It makes you realize the company is cxxp. After 1 year I have so many bad stories that 1 year was enough.
