British Gas Thread Again

One of my neighbours came over last night could I look at her heating she's got hot water but no heating, I changed the pump and the diverter valve, after I'd finished she said i'm having a new boiler fitted by BG after christmas could you look at the quote to see if its ok Potterton promax HE system boiler installed in airing cupboard on outside wall so easy install £3440 if i'd quoted that they'd have told me to do one!

I hope you charged her full rate for your work and maybe added a bit on for her cheek.

if they were any sort of friend they would have got you to do the boiler unless they went for the payment terms.

She only speaks to me when she want's something done for that reason I always charge full wack plus a bit for being a cheeky cow!

i charged a hotel £120 quid last night to put a stop end on a leaking pipe , this was at 18:15 best bit is when he paid he asked how much it would of been if theyd paid there last bill on time .£60- quid i said so last bill was £140 so thats £260 thanks

i only went cos he was paying cash for both for both bills

Quite right Bod. Im sick to death of people thinking we give credit, they wouldn't dream of trying to pay for their weekly shop after they'd scoffed it so why feck us about?

i was more peeved off cos they now only want me to look after the gas and have given all the new bathroom suites (160) to a polish team of which only one speaks minimal english , they didnt even give me chance to quote. i feel for the manager as the decision was making by some pen pusher down south. funny bit is they couldnt get back last night cos theyd gone back down to london.

i just wouldnt go regardless of the money let the polish do it,like they do on u tube,ad have said i couldnt go cos ive been drinking and carnt drive my van that my usual, when they call at 10 ,o clock at nite av ,have ad few in the past when ive got there say they new nothing about it so either theyve got someone else or it was a crank call why should you help them out yet they wont help you by giving you a few of the bathrooms the managers are always nice as they want you to do the job when i last got called out at 9 o clock and charged the woman £50 cos it was a repeat customer she said does that include coming back to fix the dodgy flexis that had been put on by the last plumber and the rad was hot before i came even tho id had nothing to do with the rad ,because is a separate system,lol her face was apicture whn i expained
