I haven't come across thus before so may be a daft question

Quoted for a new boiler today, they have just moved in and the back boiler was condemned.
The gas meter is next to the front door and a porch has be built around it. I couldn't tell what the incoming supply was made of.

Do I need to notify the grid?

I wouldn't say so looks fine

Be another issue if it was half and half

Just need to make sure your pipework is sleeved through the box and sealed ;)

Thanks Shaun
What do you mean by half and half?

They are having an ATAG IC28

Meter half in the wall

You doing a new gas run ?

Yes. It's 3/4 iron inside so will replace it all

:) doesn't look sleeved

Its AR if its a semi concealed box/externally mounted box with pipework entering the property from within the box and not sealed was what I always thought?

Think it was 15 but I'm unsure now :D

I call all that bollox, I need to ar every one I find that is in a garage

Just because there haven't got ncs no more doesn't warrent it to be ar

Just hope the builders protected it :D ;)

I’m not right often ;);), but looks to me like its aimed at extensions and porches. Wouldn’t worry to much about garages unless it’s been built on afterwards.

If it applies to one it applies to all, also would apply to concrete patios

I understand mp as they vent into the area so can't be confined etc

Nothing reg wise has changed since 10 other than no ncs if it was ar back then I could understand but it doesn't get upgraded because they got rid of a standard
