I had my combi fitted approx 10 years ago, Trvs fitted to all rads apart from one in the bathroom and the end of the loop before the return, installer said that that radiator could never be turned off because it would prevent return flow, I understand that, however can i fit a Trv on it to reduce the heat as long as I ensure its not turned off because at present it gets very hot.

Yes you can but you need at least one without to act as a heat leak normally bathroom or cold hall
