Evening guys.

I've been called by a customer to see if I can repair her boiler. By the symptoms described it sounds like the pressure vessel is knackered. Only thing is the boiler runs on lpg. Probably a stupid question but can I legally change the vessel or am I not allowed to take the cover off the boiler because I don't have my lpg ticket.

Thanks all.

If you need to open combustion chamber or take it off wall, then no. If you can access expansion vessel to pump it up etc without breaking chamber seal you can do that, or you can fit external vessel.

If you have to do anything you would need to be registered for on a NG boiler, then you need have you LPG otherwise you're working out of scope.
