Hi everyone,

moving into a new house in April which has an electric fireplace but the wife would like a gas fire instead.Can you retrofit a gas fire to a new build property?

thanks in advance for any advice
 
You need a gsr engineer like me to survey the flue[if fitted] to check compatibility

How about a flueless gas fire or one with a fanned rear exit flue if on an exterior wall, or do they still make those ones which use 1 1/2 solvent weld pipe as the flue along the skirting etc.
