Can you seal a flue with expanding foam?

Getting mixed answers about this. As far as i know expanding foam around a flue is an AR. Does any body have a concrete answer?

Why would you AR it please explain what kind of risk is it causing ? I’d personally class that as NCS.

A flue not sealed through wall is AR and potentially ID depending on the situation.

Yea you can and thats ok but im saying if its already been done and installed. It would class as an AR? Fire retardant expanding foam is pink i think

I have never heard you need fire retardant foam , who says that .

I generally foam it, cut it back a bit and finish with sand and cement. But that's oil, not gas.

If it's on fire you may have a bigger problem

Cheers. Just found out that some models of boilers alow and some doesnt. So it clears up nothing lol. Just have to check man if available

Tbh it grips my she it that when you install a boiler and one of the last thjng is to mix cement and plaster up.
Makes a right mess outside and in imo

Are you really going to turn someone’s gas off for that? I’d make a note on a landlord cert, but with NCS out these days I’d say AR is too strong
