Hi all,
I have just moved into property with glow-worm space-saver system boiler. There is a hot water cyclinder with feeder tank above. Their was once a immersion heater on top of cylinder that is now not wired. There is control switch in kitchen for this not working. I didn't want to use immersion heater to heat up water as I've heard this can be expensive method. My problem is there is a room star in hall and a danfoss 103 control unit in kitchen. This danfoss clock is an old type with timer, off or constant settings. It has a,b,c & d setting for timer. Now I don't have problem with water being heated when boiler is heating house. My problem comes when wanting hot water only when summer comes. Now if u turn stat down and put clock on constant boiler stops firing when temp reached. I also can't find thermostat on cylinder, but could be present at rear. Was wondering how to select water only without heating. I thought systems of this type contained control zone valves to single out demand for boiler. Can't find switch anywhere.
Sny advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks :)

Looks like you have an old system, only way you will get hot water only is to turn off all radiators, You need to call some one in to upgrade the controls, convert system to a `Y` or `S` plan or fit a New Combi.

i will start again you may have gravity hot water in which case you have to have the system on to get hot water and turning the room stat up will run the pump for heating or you may have fully pumped and no controls you can tell by the pipework in the airing cupboard a pic would help us be definate
