hi there,

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on possible make of these taps/cartridge. The tap head sits onto the cartridge spinal and turns onto the threads on the body of the cartridge. Hopefully the picture shows this slightly!! The cartridges are quarter turn.

I think it may just be a case of taking the cartridge out and to a merchants but I thought I would try here first!!

Many thanks

Matt

Matt, I haven't a clue about the manufacturer but, -
If you do take the cartridge to anywhere, DO take the handle etc with you, as it is the important part to test if it fits the splines of the new ceramic disc spindles. In fact, you normally don't need the spindle with you, but maybe best to take it.
There are loads of different spindles - try B&Q as they do a few in sealed packets & though some look identical to others, the spline size is slightly different - 8 or 9 or 10mm etc. They are in pairs (hot & cold) or single hot or cold. Usually they have something that matches.
Franke mixers tend to use their own works in their taps & can be ordered online.
