Hi, I'm new here, hoping I can get some advice.

I've had to replace the flush seal on a Wirquin Jolly Dual Flush, in a concealed cistern, I also wanted to change the Inlet Float. Had more problems working out how to get the panels off, buts that a whole other story.
Anyway on the side of the cartridge flush unit is a float, and I can't work out what it does. Out of the water it doesn't seem to do anything I can see, but once it's in the cistern with water, I can't see far enough in due to the the carcass of the unit that the cisterns sits into.
