Central hearing not working but hot water is fine in combi boiler

Hi all,

Just yesterday i turned the mains water off to work on the bathroom tap, i forgot to switch boiler off (not sure if this is what caused it) but now the central heating will not turn on at all on my Vaillant EcoTEC Pro 28 boiler.

Water has been heating up and working fine for the past day. There is no orange light to show that the water is being heated and the dial for the heating keeps turning and doesn't lock itself like before.

Just wondering if there is perhaps a simple solution to this?

Best advice is get a Gas Safe Engineer to look at it as there various reasons for it.
