I have an Alpha CB24 for tha last couple of days the heating and hot water has only been coming on every now and again, once it has come on its stays on without a problem, it's just having a problem registering.

can you help with what the problem might be, I have had the flow swtich replaced before for the hot water but never had any problems with the central heating, is it some thing that can be fixed?

Thanks Michelle

i have spoken to the Alpha Helpdesk and they say it could be something to do with the Time Clock, is this right?

You will need a gas plumber am afraid, possible aps,fan diry, pcb rely ect

Would not think time clock if hot water effected also

What time clock have you got?, Could be the primary sensor - its the frost stat too!

not sure what time clock it is, its not on the boiler its underneath, it has been fine this afternoon, but yesterday it wasnt coming on at all not with the timer or even when i pressed the manual on/off button, could it just be having a funny 5 minutes?

Does the yellow light flash on-off every 1 second when the fault occurs?

when the timer came on and the central heating was not responding the light was flashing every 5 seconds or so, now its working it stays on

Have you got a room stat and has the red A neon been on at all?

If the clock was calling for heat, but the boiler was completely quiet (sp) and the yellow B neon was flashing normally, it could be the pump sticking?

Where do you live?

room theromstat doesnt have any lights on, its just a dial that clicks when you turn it.
Ive got someone coming out tomorrow afternoon but is there any point now its working, wont it be better to cancell and call them out again when its not working? I dont want to waste their time and my money, I live in suffolk

Suffolk's too far for me, its your money - so its your choice weather to cancel your call!
