I believe the Primary flow and Return and Pipes to my Megaflow cylinder have been connected the wrong way round as the return pipe is much hotter the Primary flow. Will this in any way have a detrimental effect on the operational capabilities of the Megaflow cylinder.

Has nothing been altered or replaced at your boiler or circulating pump?
It won't matter much to the heat up of your Megaflow, but the motorised valve can be directional.
Get the installer back to check it all and connect it proper way, if it is wrong. Or get another G3 qualified plumber

Nothing altered or replaced at Boiler or circulating pump, will get installer back to double check his pipe connections. Doesn't appear to have affected the heating; radiators are piping hot at the right times when required. However for peace of mind want the job completed properly, many thanks for your response much appreciated.

The flow pipe needs to connect into the top of the coil. If it's connected to the bottom of the coil it will still heat cylinder but will take longer and use more gas.
