I have a condensing oil boiler (Grant Vortex) which has been set up with a digital clock/timer (Drayton Lifestyle) and a Drayton Digistat room thermostat and RF wireless system.

All of a sudden (i.e. today), my central heating will not come on unless the hot water is also on. ??????

I have replaced the batteries in the thermostat and the receiver unit is receiving the signal.

I have turned off and on the receiver unit to try and 'reboot' (no change) and tried the override button, but this does not turn the heating (only) on either.

I had this problem about 18 months ago and it just rectified itself.....

Please can someone help...?

I don't think it's a rf room stat problem, the lifestyle clock has ( I think) dip type switches or jumpers on the rear, and you have to set these up depending on what type of system you have. ( either gravity hot water or fully pumped) , if these jumpers are set to gravity, the boiler will need the hot water on to carry out a switched live to the boiler, if your system is controlled by 2x2 port motorised valves or a 3 port, it might be a live out problem, either orange wire on the motorised valve or live out from the cylinder stat ( if you have one), not any easy fix.
