Dear all,

First time I have ever been in this forum and would like to thank anyone in advance for their assistance.

I am a first time buyer and moved into my place since April of this year. I have switched the central heating on occasion but have not done so in the last 3 months or so.

I have an older system. I have 2 boilers one that heats the water for the bathroom and the kitchen. The other is above in the loft and serves the central heating.

The electrical supply is lit and I have been told and from my research indicates that the boilers get clogged up. Its strange cos the fire in my living room comes on and also the other boiler there are no issues.

I have also located the pump valve and there is a silver mechanism on top that flicks to auto once the central heating is switched on. I have left it on for hours bt to of no avail.

Any ideas on how to resolve this please? Any assistance would be great...as I am broke after putting all my savings on my deposit!

Not enough info to really diagnose tthe problem, is there any heat in the pipe near the pump? if so it may be the pump has seized.

Does your boielr in the loft light? What is the make/model of this boiler that serves your heating?
