My daughters central heating system only comes on when the hot water is heating. It is a vented system with one 3 way valve. With the hot water and heating selected on the timer then the pump runs and the heating works, however once the hot water reaches temperature the pump stops and there is no heating. She has to run the hot water to get it to heat again to get the heating back on.
