Hi guys

My daughter has bought a flat with gas central heating. The radiators have what look like flexible water pipes rather than the usual solid pipes. Is this because it is a flat? (10 years old) I've not seen anything like them before. Can a towel rail be fitted to replace the radiator in the bathroom bearing in mind these strange pipes?
Thank you in advance for your replies

Might help with some pics of what is installed etc

I once came across a radiator in a recently built kitchen extension piped up by flexible 1/2" tap connectors! the customer told me that the guy who fitted it for him had told him it was to enable it to be lifted on & off easily for decorating. Are your Daughters the 10mm/15mm plastic pipes or are they the silver flexible type that are really not designed for radiators?

It's a bit hard to picture what you are explaining. Some newer build properties have 8/10mm plastic pipes exiting the wall behind the rad then dropping down to the valves. Is that what you are seeing?
