Hi everyone,

I had a new system installed last year. Its an oil Worcester Bosch Greenstar that is mains pressure fed. The boiler heats the central heating and hot water.

Should the pump come on if it is only set for hot water (i.e summer months when heating is turned off)?

Yes - when there is a demand for hot water.
It may also come on intermittently to make sure the pump is operational and does not get stuck. This feature is generally pre-programmed into the boiler.
