The cost of new spare parts for boilers etc is very high. PCB - what ? £200+ , fans £260.

We replace 150/160 each year for various reasons - not all the parts are stuffed - so is there a Uk 2nd hand boiler parts operation ?

We could sell the duffed boiler and also order 2nd hand parts which have been tested.

I am NOT talkin about rippin customers off but in hard times why not give them the choice ?

i remember seeing a company on ebay that repairs pcb's for 60 pounds.
today i installed a new control pcb to a potterton euro condenser 65. pcb cost 660+vat. !
can i find the e bay company to repair the faulty one and sell it on as reconditioned... not a chance.
anybody want to buy my faulty pcb's ?

I thought all boiler spares had to be new. Anything re condition was a no no because they have to be certified by the manufacturers.

Mechanical non combustion components should be fine.

Hiya Mr. Moderator/s could we have a 2nd hand salvaged boiler spares section please ?

or would that upset some of the big boys that might help this site function ? - no prob if so

when I get time I might just set up a website to do it anyway

Best thing to do with fans is save old ones and have them re-wound.
