Hi
Am wanting to fit a new rad, there are no drain off plugs on any of the rads , It is a Combi boiler system, there is a drain plug about 2 feet down from the boiler, would i be right in thinking this is where I would drain down. I will shut off boiler and cold water feed before I start to drain.
Regards
Leslie

if the drain off is on the heating side you can drain it from there. if the drain off is higher than your down stairs rads then it will only drain upstairs and to the level of the drain off. so if you want to fit the rad on ground level then they will still be full of water.

sounds like it is at lowest point , either way wiill take pressure out of the system .
if you still have water in system after just find a radiator at lowest point , shut valves off either end , crack nut on the radiator side , drain rad , lift off wall , then open a valve into a bucket and drain whatever is left that way .

all a doddle to be honest .
