hi
i'm wanting to replace my honeywell t40 thermostat (10amp/230v)
now can i do this with any digital thermostat or does it have to be 10amp ?? it's for a ravenheat csi85 aaat boiler ..
the boiler is in one of the bedrooms ..(not ideal but ) so instead of going into the bedroom to change timers and such
wanted to put a digital in hall so could do it all from there ..

btw how bad is it to have a boiler in a bedroom ? it's in a cupboard ..

thx for your help ...

if the boiler is a room sealed boiler then it is fine, get a carbon monoxide alarm for extra protection.

10amp room stat ? the fused spur for boilers are usually 3 amp.

took cover off and it said 10amp/230v 50hz 2 wires to it ..
could it be this is overdoing it ?? and i could go with somthing with less amps ?

just swap for a new one if you have a 3amp fuse at the spur then should be fine, any room stat will be fine

A Honeywell CM907 should work as a direct replacement
