Hi,

Couple of days ago my central heating stopped to work properly. Actually I suspect it's controller (thermostat) problem, not heating itself. The controller is Danfoss TP9000, ~5 years old, fitted by the builder. It was working fine until recently when the central heating stopped to turn on automatically when temperature drops below the programmed threshold. We found that it works fine if water heating is on. I mean completely fine, turning on/off automatically according to the program. I tried to reset it but it didn't help. So now to keep it working we regularly use Boost function for water heating that turns water heating on for specified duration like 1, 2 or 3 hours.

Have you ever seen this problem? What's the solution? For me it looks like the problem is the controller itself, I'm just really surprised it can just stop functioning normally with such a weird behaviour.

thank you for your time

knackered programmer like for like swap will probably sort it, but best to get it checked by a man with a multi meter first in case it isnt the issue
