Hello im looking at putting my own central heating into my home and have a few questions.
Atm there is only 1 heated towel radiator installed coming from a worcester 28cdi boiler, and im looking at putting 6 additional radiators from this (boiler) from what ive gathered from internet sites and a few forums (and a slightly drunk fella in the pub !) is that i should run 2x 22mm (push fit flow and return) to roughly the centre of my house, then "T" off the flow with 15mm to feed both downstairs rads and likewise with a return. and at the end of the 22mm runs install 2x 10mm 4 way manifolds to supply the remaining 4 rads ( all 6 rads to have thermostatic valves), or is it better to stick to 15mm manifolds so i can use copper "drops" from the radiators back to push fit under the floors ? is this info right ?
Also would the boiler powerful enough to take all these extra radiators ? the house is not very big just a average 3 bedroom terrace so wont be using any radiator over 1200x600 double convector and the furthest radiator is no more than 10 metres away from the boiler.
any Advice would be greatly received .
Thanks Ian

Electrician by trade so wont be doing Final connection to boiler :p

find a friendly plumber to do a plan for you and size all the rads. your in the trade so easy to do. no more than 3 rads on one 15mm run etc. I hate micro bore as it looks cheap and tacky so I always do it in 15mm. choice is yours tho

do all the underfloor pipe etc in pastic barrier pipe, and do the tails from the rads in 15mm copper or chrome pipe will look better than plastic or microbore !! drop tails under the floorboards and connect onto the plastic pipe.

Your boiler is big enough to heat next door aswell (28kw) the big power is needed to heat the hot water instantly.

Yes boiler is big enough, use 15mm pipe, microbore is pants IMHO lol.

Loose rule of thumb 80 Watts per square metre for rad sizes unless the property is super insulated, allow more if the property is as draughty as an old shed
