Hi ,
I have a ideal response120 combi boiler which fires up my hot water but does not fire when I want heating on , nothing at all.

my question to you good people is should I renew boiler with a decent1 or is there a quick fix? I think the system is fairly clean and boiler gets a regular service ( that must surely be a well worn joke amongst gas fitters )

Thanks in advance for any answers

regards
Mark

I'd say get a gas engineer round to have a good look. And quote you. She's an old bird so no more than £150 to repair her otherwise may aswell just burn your money

Hi there jmoss and welcome along. Best to get engineer in to have a proper look at the boiler to see if there's life left in the old gal.

Do you have a room thermostat?
Yes, and thanks for reply.
There was a wiring fault with timer which neighbour rectified with a little 'loop of wire 'trick he knew.
might buy me another year. Thanks for all replies.
