CH water cleaner

Hi All,

I looking for some advice on CH water conditioners i.e. Fernox TR1, magna clean etc.
I have been told by a qualifeid CH engineer that the Fenox is not suitable for my system and another says its OK!
My system is open vented with floor mounted boiler and the usual Hot cylinder in cupboard, Cold and CH header tanks in attic, runs 11 rads and 2 towel warmers.
The issue here my friends is who is correct?

Any advice would be helpful.

Both are suitable. My personal preference is the magnaclean.

Then go with the Magnaclean, never had any problems with them and very simple to clean out when needed.

Incidently, I just worked the numbers and the pipes are 28mm
Q why the large price hike from 22mm magnaclean?
PS I know you don't set the MRR price!

The 28mm unit is bigger and obviously bigger magnet plus add the cost of valves and 28mm elbows they supply.
Well, that's my guess anyway :biggrin5:

plus tooling costs for lower volume product. Try looking at the prices of the industrial magnacleans, that will scare you!
