Hi everyone
I believe it is a requirement that upon a change of tenancy a "checklist" must be completed. If this is so does anyone know where I can get a copy or can send me a copy that they use ?
Regards
Steve

Not really sure what you mean by "checklist".
In 'Social Housing' it is generally required that on change of tenancy that the property meets any 'Minimum Standard for Letting' policy. This would in simple terms require that the property has an up-to-date or new Gas and Electrical safety test. Doors & Windows including locking mechanisms are in correct order. Roof doesn't leak. The property is in satisfactory structural condition. No H&S issues. Smoke alarms tested. The list could go on.
Not sure of the legalities that affect the private landlord.
Hope some of that helps!

Agree with Mark. A checklist is fairly common when you have a new tenant. You check them in and check its the same when they leave.

There is a site somewhere specifically about landlords and tenants rights, but I have forgotten where.
