That isnt a heat pump. Thats a thru wall air con unit, like you used to get in dodgy motels.

That example is removing heat from the room.

Just run the AC unit backwards, some friends in Florida have just that, works as AC in summer then works in reverse in the winter, a heat pump can extract heat from outside down to absolute zero (−273.15°C) so I was told, don’t think it gets down to that anywhere on earth.
