Hi all,
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to change 3 radiators including draining of system and filling.. .... I changed 3 x 600x800 to 1 x 600x1600 and 2 x 600x1800 but it's taken me all day.. [emoji33]

all depends on what you come across, me I allow a day, then if I finish early, go home happy

Last week I changed a 1500 x 600, a 1200 x 600 and a 800 x 600. Needed rad tail extensions. Was a nightmare filling up. A day for that sort of job was ok and that's considering i'm gaining confidence and experience all the time. Also had a helping hand removing the old rads, no way a 1 man carry.

I reckon you have nothing to worry about

Thanks for the replies all... Feeling better.. I thought I was being way too slow..

I know some charge per radiator and some by hourly rate.... What kind prices should one be charging....

Most on here seem happy with £150-200 day rate, though location dependant too.
I'll probably get by butt booted now.

150-200 only if you're talking after tax. I'm not saying I'm earning vassoms of money right now but I don't want to be earning less that 200 a day after tax. How else you gonna have a life and run a business??

150 isn't bad if your not self emp and you get holiday pay and sick pay and don't pay for a dam thing!!

I'm realising this now.....life is hard trying to be friends with customers and give them great prices. Coming to understand that I don't owe anyone s#1t and that d rather not take a job on if I'm earning naff all!!

Seems good, I spent a half day doing one, drain down, minor pipe mods re-commission not rushing at it haha
