Hi there everyone this is my first post.

Any ideas what to charge to change a cistern syphon on a low level cistern?

And installing an outside tap running roughly 2m of copper pipe from a cold feed?

Thanks everyone ever so much Darren

£70 - £80 for the two, Wouldnt charge much more than this, Well thats me personally.

60 for syphon including parts and 60 for outside tap including parts - depening how far i had to run pipework for outside tap

My standard charge for an outside tap is £60 including materials.

Syphon depepnds on how easy it is to dismantle loo. Usually it's just the diaphragm which is broken (cut a new one from a fertiliser sack) so no materials other than a bit of silicone to seal the syphon to the pan again. Usually charge about £40, but if the syphon is actually broken you need to replace. I have a load of ones I've salvalged from old WCs so have never actually ever purchased a new one.

BTW, it's always a good idea to save any syphons from old Syphonic WCs as these are very hard to find new.

about the same really, you have material costs and maybee 2 hours work, so £110 ish. cant see £70 being right when theres £20 of pARTS leaving £25 per hour?.

For outside tap, materials come to about £18 - tap, backplate elbow, stopcock, double check valve, a couple of elbows, 3 brass screws, tee and about 1/2m of copper pipe on average.
