Quick question....

I currently have a Gas Safe card with my current company, if I became self-employed or moved to another company, how easy is it for me to transfer my cards company to that of mine, or the new company, and what is the fee involved?

Thanks

If you move to another company then you don't have to pay anything the firm will cover it and you won't have to do anything. As for your own gas safe you won't have to pay anything if you move from firm to firm as this will be registered to you and not the firm.

I have a confession. For most of my childhood, I was under the impression that one of the most exciting, fun filled, action packed professions in the world was being a plumber. Now, that I've picked it as a career choice, I see the mistake I've made.

Thanks for ruining my life, Mario.

like the signature tom, thats the trouble with that mario he was always on those magic mushrooms LOL

If your firm currently pay for your gas safe it costs them £53 + VAT if you go self employed you will need your own card which will cost you £175 + VAT

corgi used to give you a discount if you were already reg-ed through a firm.
gsr shaft you for full fee , £450 approx to reg in your own name .

Im glad you mention that noleaksihope, and although i agree with what 'The Gas Safe Register' stands for this is proof that money means more.

cards cont get transferred, if you change company your old company tells GSR you have left, and your new company will pay to add you to their register, if you want to go self employed it will cost £428 to get regsitered yourself for the first time, then approx half next yr and every other yr,

i never agreed with corgi letting an employee regaister themselves for half fee, when they got their inspection they used the company FGA, labels and notices and everything else that they were supposed to buy to work safely

just payed £428 to register my business and myself hard pill to swallow
