Was on a site the other day pricing work and the first thing i saw when i walked through the door was this. Its 1"trac pipe coming from meter teed in under stairs like a manifold then running to a gas boiler, cooker and fire all in 1"trac pipe could see how they reduced it down at fire but it was down under the concrete and brought up in 10mm to valve.leaving a compression joint under concrete.over 200 houses done like this what is your opinions ???

somebody going to be busy and the muppet should be jailed.

Looks bloody awful.

Oficially you can run track pipe under concrete, but I don't see why they've done that, and as for the 'manifold'. Horrible. Plus the compression fitting under the floor. It all adds up to a horrible mess doesn't it?

I wouldn't want to live there. Some heads are def gonna roll on that!!

thats the trouble with trac pipe , you cant make it look prettiful , its the joint under the floor that worries me !!😱

they havnt followed install inst at all....no one notice the sleeving has been cut back too far and not resealed

Look how tight theyve pulled the radius on the bend. Didnt think that was allowed.

My opinion is there are 200 houses that have an AR install and are Riddor reportable due to the inaccessible comp. fitting to fire.
As newbie has stated the trac pipes jacket has been cut back too far and has not been re-covered as per trac pipes install instructions, so is technicaly NCS.

This is only what you are aware of. What worries me is what you cant see.

Very true. the expence off that trac pipe i wld dare say there or straight joints from manifolds to appliances using up off cuts.

Trac pipes recommended inside radius for 22 is 76mm, but this may be reduced to 25mm if required in some circumstances. So looks like the installer is just within limits here. Again not excactly a good install.

the trac pipe was 1" which why i was so shocked running it to a gas cooker and fire.Reducing it at manifold wld off saved them cost
