I have the above problem after having done all my en suite piping in solvent weld due to the majority of connections being hidden away under tiles - only 1x 40mm T piece in the wall prior to entering the soil stack, converted to 32mm for the sink which is 800mm above it - yet to test before building around.
I have dug out a block wall ready to accept the 32mm solvent pipe but am struggling to find a solution to fit the chrome pipe into the solvent 90 exiting below the sink. The chrome pipe has a reduced end for push fit, and a wide end for the trap - the wide end when inserted is approx 3mm out around the diameter. I am thinking that i could either source one of these McApline chrome 90's with compression and solvent fitting integrated.... or find another solution to seal the pipe closing this 3mm gap with possibly ptfe tape? bit back street but the 90 will sit flush with the tile, so it would make it more serviceable in the future as i won't be able to get to the Mcalpine compression fitting...thoughts?
