Hi I am changing a siphon on a close coupled cistern but the lid is sealed into the tiles. whats the most effective way of removing and replacing the lid so it looks good when i get it back on the wall

personally id use a hammer
 
would it not be cheaper to break a few tiles around lid?? easy enough to replace tiles, if she says she hasnt got any tiles left, look behind bath panel !

'fraid a 'tiled around cisten lid always looks cheap. Gotta make the best of a poor job mate
