Having put cleaner solution into my C.H system. How do i circulate the water without running the heating. I have tried turning the Boiler Thermo down but this just shuts off the whole system. Any advice please.

Combi or system boiler?

Chemicals work better hot. But you could flush cold by putting demand on, turn room stat up and timer on constant, turn boiler down to lowest setting. Have you got a system filter to catch debris and magnetite ? Have a look at adey Magnaclean, there are some useful u tube vids and website is informative.

What cleaner have you used ? most work best when system is hot ! you need to run for at least 1Hr per day or you are just wasting your money also think about fitting a Magnetic filter. Read instructions on cleaner .

Cleaners require to be left in for a period of time under normal operating conditions - hot!

Many thanks for all your prompt replies. Will read and digest

heat acts as an accelerant with most cleaning chemicals. think of how much better washing up liquid works with hot water and you roughly get the idea.
