I've not seen one for about 5/6 years.

Do these people sell new coin operated one then ??? The customer bidded one the eBay ones got out bidder strait away

Yeah looks like it, give them a bell. Can't see them being cheap mind, specialised stuff now.

She had Tennants do a runner and she's feeding from her house onto a normal meter she was thinking no coins no gas ?

There was a bloke round here that used to make ice cube coins when they came to empty the meter all that was there was rust. They paid him £100 to show them how he was doing it

I'm probably quite a bit older than most on this forum. Was one old penny,( 1d) in the
gas meter when I was a kid.

When the 'Gas Man' counted out the coins on the dinner table he would give back the
foreign coins and other spurious bits and pieces (washers etc) to mum in her rebate .

The last time I had a coin meter (in the early eighties) was 50p coin.

i can get you one for £50!!

problem is it ony takes tanners and i sell them at £5 each.lol

So I bought a brand new coin meter and look what I found in someone's cellar to 20150502_105529.jpgday !!!!
