Cold Christmas with broken (brand new) Ideal boiler

Read blogs decided Ideal Logic plus OK to install (no choice but Ideal) took three days, installed yesterday broke after 5 hours. Tried again today had heating for 10 minutes, broke. Plumber returning but thinks its parts -Ideal coming after Christmas but MAY come Tuesday. Changed boiler after 9 years of Ideal problems and 2 major leaks. Corgi said it was Ideal free boiler or nothing. Lesson, even if Ideal giving away boiler run fast in other direction. Miserable cold Christmas

Id be on to a no win no fee brief, and a stay in a nice hotel put on Ideals or Corgi,s bill!

When the isar was out we used to fit a lot for a housing association (2 of us used to fit 2-3 full systems a week and they must of had another 8-10 teams) we had a problem with a brand new boiler and it took 7 working days to come out, when they got there they saw a brand new worcester on the wall as the manager got on the phone to the rep who supplied one and promised 24hr response if they started using them so they did.

I wouldn't fit an ideal for anyone.

Try ringing them Monday and being firm with them!! Get engineer to call as well!!

Ive heard good and bad things about them. But had little dealings with them. One thing I was told was they work lovely on clean water but they can be extremely temperamental with even a little bit of debris

Been fitting them for the past 4/5 years, had very few problems in that time don't fit anything else.

Think I will try convert you pal, if you want repairs and breakdowns out of the boilers you fit , DONT fit viessmanns lol
