Hi there,

im having problems with the heat leak radiator in my bathroom. it is constantly cold, even the pipes to it, even though the water storage is hot in my gravity fed vented system. I have a parkray solid fuel boiler.
it worked last winter but i have recently drained the system to introduce a sludge remover and drained the system again to put an inhibitor in too. would this cause the rad to stay cold. I have bled all rads and they all work on the pump side but the heat leak one just emits cold water.

Could anyone offer me any ideas or solutions?

thanks

sound like you have a air lock on 1 side of the radiator, the best way i find to remove these is to turn both valves off on the radiator and drain it till totally empty in to a tub. turn 1 valve back on bleed the rad till is about half way full then turn that valve off and turn the opposite side on then bleed till its full open both valves and test it. sounds more complicated than it is but works well and tells you if 1 side has a blockage or not to :)
