Hi

A mates radiator is not heating up. I tried bleeding and opening and closing the balancing valve and TRV.
It sounded like water was flowing through but still not heating up.
The other rad in the room was only half heating up so I opened the balancing valve on that and the whole rad heated up could this have a knock on affect on the rad following?
Do you think it is best to remove the rad thats not heating up and try flush it out and refit and fill with inhibitor?
Also the TRV is a drayton TRV4 hot do I go about removing the cover to check that its not the pin that is sticking?

Re the pin, that's what I'd look for as a start.

Unsrew knurled ring at base of head, remove head and lubricate pin and see if you can push the pin in.Don't pull it out!!!

Turn all rads in the house off, and open the one thats not heating up. If it start heating up, balance the rest of them. working away from the boiler.

Hi Dontknowitall, Hlpsy and Hobo

Thank you for the advice, lubed all the pins on all the valves and checked they were all working.
Turned off all rads and opened the one that wasn't working, and it started, then balanced the rest of the system.

Thank you all for your advice.

Much appreciated.
