Hi, i have a problem, i have one cold radiator downstairs in the kitchen and one cold rad upstairs in our 2nd bedroom. all other radiators are working fine.
I have bled them all and there is no air, and i have tried to play with the screw on them to balance the system, but still no joy. both pipes leading to both rads are cold.

there positions are:
downstairs - boiler is in the pantry off the kitchen (pipes run from the boiler up to the ceiling) which is about 2metres away from the kitchen rad (pipes run down from upstairs)
upstairs - the 2nd bedroom is directly above the kitchen with the rad on the outside wall (about 6m away from boiler plus the height).

like i say all others are fine (the two upstairs in other bedrooms and the bathroom, and the two downstairs in hallway and living room)

any advice would be great. Also the kitchen rad does not have normal thermostat on it, it has the crome crosshead valves, so not sure how you can balance this one.

thanks

Turn heating on. Turn off all rads that work. Observe cold rads. Report back. :)

you need to balance your system, if you dont vknow how to do that ask and someone will point the way.

Don't jump the gun. Turning hot rads off and observing the cold rads will determine whether its a balancing issue or not. If they previously worked then i doubt it is.....
