Hi there. I'm looking for advice.

The cold water flow in my bathroom has reduced quite a fair bit. It's only my sink, bath and shower which is affected. The toilet and kitchen are completely fine. The stopcock is turned on full and with turning it up and down it hasn't made a difference to the maximum flow. This happened roughly about a week after our area had a burst water hydrant so not sure if there's a link.

Luckily we still have water to use but it's just really annoying.

Oh, and all our water is mains.

Would love some advice on this.

Thanks so much

Its possible that the CWSC in the roofspace isnt filling quick enough or the outlets have been clogged up with dirt. When the mains was turned off, theres a fair chance when they turned it back on, dirt has clogged up the ballcock in the CWSC. Check you tank in the roofspace to see if its filling quick enough and what the pressure is like coming from the ballvalve

There's no tanks, the house is mains fed

We have a combi condensing boiler which feeds all the water in the house. The hot water tank was removed and the cold is blocked off so the water is coming in off the street.

I don't know what ballfixes are, totally clueless here, lol.

It is likely that sand / rust etc has been washed up your supply when the water was turned back on the WC cistern was probably full & so it did not go up that line. You will need to get a plumber in, as blockage/s could be behind every set of taps (sink = basin) or an isolation valve / restriction serving all the blocked fittings but try to find out who was responsible for the water hydrant & see if you can get them to & sort it out.

thanks for that. The fire hydrant was kids playing about. 1 day of sun and the hydrants get burst by the kids. Seriously annoying.

I blame US TV programs, where do they think they are living the Bronx !! lol
Probably repairs carried out by your local water supplier (undertaker) phone them. One thing Kirsty your location is down as A, A does that mean that you are in or taking part in an Alcohol Anonymous meeting ??? sorry not meaning pry, just interested.

Lol, I actually meant to delete that when registering but made an error and it came back. No I'm from Scotland. A place where the minute a bit of sun comes out then the fire hydrants get bust.

Sorry again Kirsty are you from Scotlans or Scotland ? I don't no what is worse admitting your in an AA meeting or you come from Scotland, only joking Kirsty & Tamz (he's a fellow countryman on here).
We haven't managed to fix your your plumbing but at least we can make you smile
Good luck Kirsty
