Hi, some time ago the prevoius owner of my house replaced the mains water pipe with a 12mm copper pipe. This runs along the skirting board in our dining room some 4 metres through to the kitchen. The stopcock is in the corner with a small wooden enclosure and because the pipe looks ugly on the skirting board and get condensation on it. Could I replace the pipe with the plastic type and bury it in the floor? The floor is concrete and I could dig a channel for the pipe. What material would need to be around the pipe and how deep should the pipe be under the floor? Will that grey plastic water pipe be ok for the job or does it need to be the blue stuff?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mike
