I've been to see a customer today, 5 bed house, 2 bathrooms, he's a conventional system, he wants to put a combi in to get rid of the cylinder which takes up some of his bathroom, he wants to remodel bathroom so do away with airing cupboard. Is there a combi that can cope with that size of house? I've seen a few 42 cdi Worcester, vaillant storage combi, however stick off the wall like a fridge. And the Worcester high flow. Anybody fitted any and can confirm they can cope, or got any advice. He doesn't want a megaflo or cylinder for some reason.

at the end of the day it up to the customer, you can only advise. I think they have no chance with a combi, IMO

Any combi large enough to cope is going to be a monster. Be wary of the rating of combis, a lot will only run to 24Kw on heating despite the high heat input on hot water.

at the ennd of the day will depennd on incoming mains flow and pressure
imo

Had a similar customer before christmas, insisted on combi because there's only him and his wife there and they don't use much DHW....he also already had 12 rads and wanted three more, I informed him of the possible problems but he was adamant so I fit the Vaillant 937 and tbh he's happy as a pig in ****. The water flow is excellent the rads are all hot, also put him new TRV's on all but one rad.
